Milana Ackov/Edmonton/Psychologist

MILANA ACKOV, registered psychologist

I value the physical and emotional space that is created and shared between the client (you) and the therapist (myself). My hope is that this space can feel supportive, meaningful, and relaxed so that we can focus on what brought you in.

I bring with me genuine curiosity about the human experience as well as years of education and professional experience (that you may learn more about in my “official” bio). I truly believe that each and every person has unique strengths that we can collaboratively work on (re) discovering.

I step into the therapeutic relationship as a fellow human, rather than an expert. You will likely hear me say the following at least once during our work together: “I will never know you better than you know yourself”, meaning that you are the expert in you and your lived experiences. I will bring my knowledge and expertise to guide you in a way that feels supportive, comfortable and hopeful.

“In therapy, you will be encouraged to discover what you want to do, be and act like, rather than how you should.”
