MILANA ACKOV, registered psychologist
I believe healing happens in relationships. The space we create together matters. My hope is that therapy feels like a steady, supportive place where you can show up as you are — without pressure, without performance, and without needing to have everything figured out.
Many of the struggles people carry make sense when we look at them through the lens of relationships — past and present. The ways you’ve learned to cope, protect yourself, or connect with others developed for a reason. Together, we’ll gently explore those patterns with curiosity rather than judgment, making room for new ways of relating to yourself and the people in your life.
I show up to our work as a real person, not a distant expert. You are the authority on your own experience. I bring clinical training, perspective, and a steady presence — but I don’t assume I know you better than you know yourself. Our work is collaborative. We pay attention to what’s happening in the room between us, because that relationship can become a place to practice trust, honesty, and repair in ways that feel safe and meaningful.
Above all, I want therapy to feel human. Supportive. Grounded. A place where growth can happen at a pace that feels right for you.
“In therapy, you will be encouraged to discover what you want to do, be and act like, rather than how you should.”
